I'm going to make this as spoiler free as possible, but still read at your own risk. You have been warned. This is my pure opinion so no freaking out if you don't agree.

So I've finally got to watch Thor: The Dark World and oh my gosh, the feels. I wish I had gotten to watch it with someone with me, but that's not the point. There were a lot of things I loved about the movie, but a few things I really didn't like. For starters, I think I was a little to hyped up for it, in fact, I think everyone was too hyped up for it although the movie was still fantastic.

Here are some of the things I liked

The scenery was spectacular. Just stunning. This is a beautiful movie (most pretty out of all the Marvel films I must say) and the fact that it seems so balanced. It is a Marvel movie after all, and we all know how Marvel can really 'amp' things up when they want to. I loved it and I wish every movie was as pretty as this one.

Malekith wasn't as bad as I thought he was going to be. He had a motive, he looked stunning (not exactly the comics, but close enough) and his hair was to die for. I want that hair. There isn't much I can say about him other then the fact he's a dick, even to his own people, but he's clever. He knows what he's doing and he looks good while doing it. Props for Malekith!

Kurse. I said I wasn't going to spoil you much, so I'll try. This guy (Kurse) in my opinion is also a giant ass hat, but on the level of 'good villain to bad villain' he was good too. He's big, he's powerful and he is definitely after something (I won't say) And yes, he is on the same side as Malekith.

The story line. What was actually going on in the story, and why it was all happening. I'm basically saying that I liked the fact that it wasn't just a bunch of random fights and talks, there was actually a purpose to what was happening. The Dark Elves have a reason to hate Asgard, and that's good. In fact, back in the past, Odin's father Bor (Who looks exactly like his comic book self) had to attack and stop the Elves because they were trying to plunge the 9 realms into eternal darkness by using this cray cray  power source (Much like the tesseract) that can turn anything good into evil. They could only do this when (Like present time in the movie) the worlds align. So that all happened about 5000 years ago (remember gods live for a long time) So basically everyone thought the Dark Elves were dead, but they were not and they are not trying to do all that ^ again.

The relationships. Everything that happened between one person and another was quite relatable. Like the relationship between Thor and Jane; the boyfriend leaves and doesn't call and you meet his parents cliché thing. Thor and Odin; the big strong father trying to tell what to and not to do cliché. But of course my favorites Thor and Loki's relationship; the I love you but I hate you thing going on between them and Loki and Frigga; the mother is the only one who kindda loves you thing. Those two really tear you apart in my opinion.

The ending. Best cliff-hanger ever, its basically screaming 'THOR 3 COMIN' UP'

The cameos. I can't tell you much but I can say FUCKING PERFECT

Frigga is a lovely mother. 'Nuff said.

Now here are some things I didn't like.

There is one scene I wanted to love, but just couldn't because of the way it was set up. In the trailer, it was the number one thing I was looking forward too, but then you barley get to see it the way it happened. Sorry of my poor wording, just don't want to say anything spoilery.

Jane Foster. I like her, but she is a damsel in distress in this film. Jane, grow a backbone maybe. She just seems so weak compared to the other girls in this movie, even Frigga has got moves! I didn't see much of brave Jane, like when she gets upset in the first movie (Thor 2011) 'And I'm sure I was sue you for violating my constructional rights!' we don't get to see that Jane anymore.

Odin is a terrible father. 'Nuff said.

Now, here are some things I'm 'on the fence' about

The humor. It made the film good, great in fact, just sometimes it was a bit overused. There is a scene in the movie (one of my new favorite scenes now) where Thor becomes really upset. It tears him apart, like, the experience is so bad no one should ever have to go through it. But Thor did go through it and he was very sad, then we cut to the next scene and he seems to be completely over it. Like, OMG I CAN'T BELEIVE THAT JUST HAPPENED------ O WELL. Then, to make it worse, he makes a few jokes. It felt like it ruined the mood. Other then that though, I have to say I LOVED THE HUMOR. Mostly the Loki humor. There is this one scene with Loki in it where he just... I laughed too hard XD

Loki in general. I know what you're thinking, WHAT! NICOLE DOESN'T LIKE LOKI! No, I still loved Loki in this movie and I always will. There is just one time he seems.... he does something completely out of character. Sort of anyway. It did, however, add to the movies epicness. I have to admit, I was NOT expecting that to happen.

Eric Selvig, Darcy Lewis and Ian (I have no idea what his last name is) Together, they had more time then the warriors three combined and I think that's a bit too much for side characters who, well, aren't as cool or essential to the plot. They do need to be there for a few things, but not as many as they had. Darcy, Ian and Eric are the main source of humor right next to Loki though. Darcy and Loki are pretty hilarious.

Over all I thought...

The movie was great and I'm going to see it again on November 8th or 11th, this time in 3D and not on my laptop XD

I have to say though, bring tissues cause some of those scenes will just...... Bleh! The feels are strong in this one. Everyone should be satisfied with this sequel. It was better then the first and WAY better then Iron Man 3, but maybe not quite as good as The Avengers. My rating? 8.5/10.

Go see Thor: The Dark World in theaters on November 8th 2013!

Nicole. Away.

Yea it's sad they replaced it with stupid movies like Holes. Good book, but Disney, you know, Disney-fied it!

Thank you for your opinions. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I've read enough spoilers and seen enough gifs from the new movie I think I know what you're talking about. I actually found the prison scene (I think that was the one you were referring to) so much better with the twist to it. Needless to say I'm overly excited to see the whole thing.

Oh boy, and I have a project to make this week, and probably some other stuff to do, how will I manage to do anything with Loki wandering around my head mercilessly? xD And I could control it, but you made me even more eager to see the film, and ohh myy, concentration, where did you go?! It is all your fault, oh! >:c

Well, just because I'm a heartless creature, I'll tell you this. There is a very lovely shirtless Thor scene that I wish I could watch over and over again :iconheartrollplz:
